Like a phoenix, man,
como el fénix hombre,
livin’ n’ dyin’s pretty much
the same thing,
When you live away
every minute,
Like a phoenix, man,
como el fénix hombre,
burning and shining
till the very
last second
carving your
laser beam songs
upon the world’s face,
Oh sinner musician,
Oh sinner brother,
Oh sinner Man,
Oh beautiful
hand that rocks the guitar,
Oh wonderful
music feeling
that moves the world,
Like a phoenix, man
como el fénix, hombre,
burning away
your raspy voice,
deep in so many hearts,
the somewhat
piercing blend,
oozing from
your perennial
guitar riff
galvanizing
the air
for a long, long, time…

To Norberto “Pappo” Napolitano
[In memoriam]

Readers opinions:
2006-10-06 04:38:49 I like the poem about that musician. I just say that it's one way to tribute somebody. Good nadjalenchantin
2006-01-16 18:12:04 I sent your poem to Guillo Rouco and Luciano. I hope they read it and go "de gana a macana" this 26 when they eat the stage during Lovorne concert at this year Cosquín.Rock, which will be all dedicated to Pappo, his founder and main supporter before Fernet came to the rescue. Congratulations for your poem and the angel it is dedicated to. Argentinian rock rocks! GAIUS
