Puny, bowlegged, humped, he observed, upholded in his crutch, amid the crowd.

“-Throw that crutch away” - commanded the preacher, and the disabled obeyed.
“ Now, walk!”

He breathed deeply and moved forward. “Splash”, the unfortunate dived his face in the puddle while his arms and knees tried to arise the body overthrown in the muddy ground.

“-He deserves it, being a sinner without faith” scorned the parson, and, indifferently, went on in his preaching and healing, while disapproval looks followed the underdog.

Who, ashamed, limped away towards the solitude of his misery, his pain, his perplexity before the misunderstandings and the mysteries of the world.
