THE GOOD SAMARITAN
He felt dizzy and came down.
His forehead struck the sidewalk
And a thin thread of blood
Mixed with water
That went through
The gutter.
The cold rain`s and the motorcars`noise
Muffled his moans.
Passers by hurried toward their own problems
Avoiding him and complaining
About the hindrance
He meant.
No one cared. No one had time to lose.
The sun went down. Came the night,
In his agony he resigned himself
To die.
Then someone bowed and touched him.
“Thanks God!” , he thought,
“He comes a good man
Who shows pity and solidarity”.
He opened his eyes on time to see
The stranger running away
After taking his watch,
Stepping in the puddles
An being cursed
By those
That
Were hit
By the mud sprinkles .
