Too many people making too many mistakes and... how, in spite of that, we survive?
There is a price to be paid: Time. Yes, time. More than things, more than space, more than happiness, more than any other quality or commodity, it is time that we lose - because of the inherent stupidity of the humanoid race-.
And so it is that a task which should take a few minutes to accomplish, it ends up taking a few hours, perhaps a day. And then we go to sleep with a clear conscience; we think that we did the job for the day. But, by the gods, that even the cave man did not come home without his trophy!
Then... what of this?
Shall we conform to the pace of mediocrity and join the common herd? Or shall we go ahead, isolated, and ready to be sacrificed for the common good or, shall I say, the big con-game which we are all playing, though I do not know the rules and I lose most of the times?
Shall I just lose a final bet and finish this farce even if it is only as far as my own affairs are concerned and no one else cares?
There is at least ingenuity in the masses; they take credit, unabashed, for things that happen to them by good fortune. And an ART they make of hiding their ignorance; stealing ideas, but above all, smiling. The game is full of smiles.
Meanwhile, the hour has struck on the plaza's clock and nothing of importance has happened yet...
